CCUC Round-up - September 2017



It's been a huge month for the Cinema Catch-Up Club. A double feature to start, and our first ever recording with a live audience to wrap us up!

This week, host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Luke Jago and Tegan Mulvany as they review TWO films: 1902's 'Le Voyage dans la Lune' and 2011's 'Hugo.' Listen in as they discuss sleeping on the moon, the uncanny valley and Ben Kingsley's baguette.

This week, host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests John King and Ellin Sears to review 'The Crying Game' and discuss early 1990's fashion in London, Forest Whitaker's bowling technique and murdering goldfish.

This week - to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the release of the book "The Hobbit" - host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Sarah Courtis and Patrick Downes to review the first of Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.' Listen in as they discuss rude house-guests, the useless Bombur and the Goblin King's "Throatum."

This week - in our first ever LIVE episode of the Cinema Catch-Up Club - host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Kate Willoughby, Nicola Brescianini and a live studio audience to review 'The Princess Bride.' Listen in as they discuss six fingered men, rodents of unusual size and holding your breath with Cary Elwes.
