CCUC Round-up - May 2017

It's the end of May and it's a Wednesday which means...it's time for the May round up post for the Cinema Catch-Up Club!

This week, host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Kate Sophia Willoughby and Alex McVey to review Francis Ford Coppola's 'The Godfather' and discuss gangsters (not gangstas), the logistics of decapitating a horse and why the mob should avoid oranges at all costs.

In space, no one can hear your podcast...but as we are all here on Earth, why not listen to the latest episode of The Cinema Catch-Up Club? This week, host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Tegan Mulvany and Jason Dohle as they review Ridley Scott's 1979 science-fiction horror film 'Alien' and discuss posters of topless women and eggs, why bassoons don't sound like space anymore and how the Xenomorph almost had to fight Meryl Streep and Harrison Ford.

A long time ago (last week) in a city far, far away (Perth, Western Australia is fairly isolated)...

This week, host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Andrew 'Jatne' David, Claire Mosel-Crossley and Sarah Courtis as they review George Lucas's 1977 classic 'Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope' and discuss zippy swords, cute robot butts and misbehaving elephants. Tell your sparrows to get some coconuts because the latest episode of The Cinema Catch-Up Club is here!

This week, host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Ellin Sears and Samantha Knox as they review the comedy classic 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' and discuss the Pythons attempting to discreetly wash a rabbit, medieval depictions of giants snails and llamas. Plus, we have a live coconut demonstration!

This week - in our first ever audience chosen film review - host Stephen B. Platt is joined by special guests Rhianna Hall and Aaron Jay to review David Fincher's 'Fight Club' and discuss Leonardo DiCaprio's unusual cameo, disrespecting the rules of the road and why Brad Pitt and Edward Norton wanted to beat up a Beetle.
